I attended Eva School and graduated from Brewer High School in 1974. I graduated with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education from Athens State College in 1994.

I began teaching  at Lacey's Spring in 3rd grade.  I came to Eva in 1995 and taught 2nd grade for 14 years before moving to  3rd grade in 08-09. I  returned to 2nd grade for the past 2 years, now  I am back in 3rd grade!! I am in my 19th year of teaching and still LOVE my work. I am very excited about this school year! I know it will be great!!

My name is Rita Childers, I am a 3rd grade teacher at Eva School.  I live in Eva with my husband Terry.  We have one daughter, Selina and one son Nick.  We also have 4 granddaughters and 1 grandson. We enjoy spending time with our children and grandchildren.  We also enjoy camping and gardening.  We are active at Eva Baptist Church.
